Health & Safety
Through our Senior Management Board (SMB), we are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all our stakeholders.
In accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and all associated legislation, we will also take all reasonable measures to secure the health and safety of contractors, nominated service partners, occupiers, visitors to our premises and members of the public who may be materially affected by our business activities and our buildings.
London Portfolio and Head Office
Our London Health & Safety team are responsible for advising and providing statutory and best practice guidance to the London Portfolio. In addition, the team undertake Property Health Checks and Fire Risk Assessments on those managed buildings within the portfolio and provide specialist knowledge and guidance on issues relating to asbestos, fire safety management and DDA issues. The management of documentation is through DataStation with the London Health and Safety team assisting the Estate Management Teams in achieving compliance. Our London Health and Safety Team are also responsible for assisting the Line Managers within the London Head Office in managing the health, safety and welfare of Land Securities office based employees.
Retail Portfolio
Our Retail Health & Safety team are responsible for advising and providing guidance to Shopping Centres, retail parks, and retail departments throughout the UK.
In addition, they undertake property health checks to monitor compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations, and assist engineers in providing Fire Risk Assessments. The management of documentation is through DataStation with the Retail team assisting centres/management in achieving compliance.
